Nahid Abdali O.D.

Dr. Nahid Abdali graduated with high honors from the University of California, Davis, majoring in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior.  She then graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. Her residency was in Ocular Disease, Cornea and Contact Lenses from the School of Optometry and the University of California, San Francisco. 


While studying at UC Davis, Dr. Abdali was a teaching assistant for the Zoology Department and later was an attending in the Medical Eye Services Clinic in the Meredith W. Morgan Eye Center at UC Berkeley, a contact lens lab instructor. She has recently taught Clinical Examination of the Visual System for the UC Berkeley Optometry department and a course in the UC Berkeley Linguistics Department. 


She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK) Honor Society, American Optometric Association and an award recipient for the Professional Student Support Funds (PSSF), which is awarded to those who demonstrate a high level of academic and clinical distinction.

Dr. Abdali is the hostess of her own television show, The Seeker of Knowledge, where she addresses issues affecting the youths, adults, and children. Her show answers common questions related to the field of optometry. 

Dr. Abdali is currently working towards obtaining her law degree. She has a passion for education and strives to take great care in informing her patients of their conditions. 

During her free time, Dr. Abdali enjoys volunteering, supporting and speaking at non-profit charity organizations as well as listening to music, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, teaching, and motorcycles.
