Rahul Raghu, M.D.

Dr. Rahul Raghu is a fellowship trained Ophthalmologist, specializing in cataract surgery, as well as the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Raghu is a Bay Area native and completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology. He then went on to receive his MBA in Healthcare Management at The Heller School of Management at Brandeis University. He subsequently earned his Medical Degree at Albany Medical College in New York. There he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Honor Society for outstanding academic achievement (top 10% of his graduating class), in addition to being nominated by his peers to the Gold Humanism Honor Society for exemplifying compassionate care.


Dr. Raghu completed his Ophthalmology residency at Case Western University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH, serving as Academic Chief Resident and receiving the award for Most Outstanding Resident. 


For his final chapter of training, he completed a glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Established in 1832, Wills Eye Hospital is consistently recognized as one of the top eye hospitals in the world, allowing Dr. Raghu to train with internationally recognized leaders in the field.


Dr. Raghu has authored several publications in peer reviewed journals, and presented his research at numerous regional, national, and international conferences. Additionally, he continues to mentor medical students around the country, helping them to prepare for the medical licensing boards.

In his spare time Dr. Raghu loves spending time with his lovely wife and daughter, exploring everything the Bay Area has to offer.
